ha ha. after a long time of not posting, i post lyrics. ang shareful ko 'no? i might post a story later. that is, if I finish studying math and cs (yeah right, as if i'll finish. stop, more like. ha ha)

girl power?

i watched two movies today: "She's the Man" and "North Country".

both practically promotes women's rights. in ba yan ngayon? or nagkataon lang na yung magkasunod na movie na pinanood ko ay may theme na ganyan?

in "She's the Man", Viola, Amanda Bynes, is this soccer player who wants to prove herself - that being a girl doesn't make her any less of a soccer player. ang judgemental nga nung mga lalaki eh, sucks. and then of course, everything turns out great and she makes out with this uber hot guy [channing tatum. ooh la la]. end of story.

in "North Country", on the other hand, Charlize Theron works in a mining company where she and the other women who work there are not treated well. Sexual harrassment. Verbal assault pa nga eh. Very offending stuff. Well, i must agree that what the men did was wrong and to sue them is quite called for. Women need protection from these things. Guys are just...

"Women need protection from these things." <-- just a thought, if we need protection, doesn't that mean we are not to be treated "equally" and the same with men? Yet women rights activists want equality among the sexes... One thing I learned, you really can't have everything.

To have protection is to be treated "specially", right? Perhaps we should fight for RESPECT. Because that really is what we need anyway. :p

and then i realized, i'm a crappy writer. i'm not a good storyteller nor a good blogger. ha.
